Applauding Achievement: Rebecca Schedl

PIC applauds After School teacher and Early Learning Art Specialist, Rebecca Schedl, who has been selected as one of the National AfterSchool Association’s 2019 Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders!

Rebecca will be featured along with other honorees in the Winter 2019 issue of NAA's AfterSchool Today magazine, and receives a free registration to attend the NAA annual convention to be held in March in NYC.
 
Director of School Age Programs, Anjali Gallup-Diaz nominated Rebecca and wrote that she "has been instrumental in coordinating shared programming with other institutions in Philadelphia. These cooperative opportunities occurred at the Philadelphia Free Library, the University City Arts League, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 
 
Anjali also shared that Rebecca has "pursued professional development in English as Second Language, Social-Emotional Development in children, Chinese language studies, among other areas."
 
And finally "Rebecca’s enthusiasm, empathy, and mentoring skills are respected and loved by children, parents, and fellow teachers alike."
