Countless studies show quality pre-K improves children's chances of success in school and in life.
PIC partners with Pennsylvania to offer its Pre-K Counts program. The program provides 6 hours (8 am - 2pm) of no cost pre-kindergarten education for eligible children ages 3-5 during the school year (September-June.)
- High quality preschool at no charge to families.
- A healthy snack and warm lunch provided daily.
- Monday – Friday, 6-hour class day from 8 to 2 pm.
- Options for extended day child care until 6 pm (for an additional fee).
- CCIS funded extended day for eligible families.
- Private pay extended day.
Eligibility to receive Pre-K Counts funding is based on your family’s size and income. To be eligible to receive Pre-K Counts funding, your total annual family income must be less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
PIC accepts applications year-round.
Children must be at least three-years-old before September 1st to apply to the Pre-K Counts program.
