A Look at Mud Day 2025

Mud Day 2025 - Face painted

International Mud Day was a blast, filled with activities to get messy in the mud.

PIC children and teachers spilled out onto the Magic Circle Nature Playground, the blacktop, and the TotLot, which were transformed into muddy, messy spaces for children to explore and play in.

They stomped, jumped, squished, rolled, painted, and played in the mud! It was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories.

We know the benefits of messy play - it allows for open ended exploration of materials, it stimulates children's natural curiosity and engages their senses, and it encourages communication and language development, as friends play together. But, most of all it is a whole mess of fun!!
