Nature and Art in the Magic Circle
In honor of the Week of the Young Child, we planned fun activities to help highlight the impact quality early learning experiences have on the healthy growth and development of all children.
Yesterday, young toddlers and preschoolers came out to the Magic Circle Outdoor Classroom for a special nature-based learning and art event. Activities included leaf and bark rubbing, painting with pine needles, and plenty of mud.
Geared up in rain boots (and an extra set of clothes in their cubbies), children jumped in puddles, squished dirt through their fingers, cooked in the Mud Kitchen, and dug, dug, dug!
Look for more outdoor fun to come as the weather continues to warm and the Outdoor Classroom continues to grow.
