Metropolitan's gift to PIC

Marcy and Jim Lily present Executive Director Deb Green with a check from Cindy Days
We recently were given a very special gift from Jim and Marcy Lilly, owners of the University City Metropolitan Bakery & Cafe.

For a third year in a row, Jim and Marcy promoted "Cindy Days" as a part of celebrating their store's anniversary.

This year, Metropolitan celebrated their 14th Anniversary and used their anniversary to continue to raise awareness about the Cindy Fund at PIC. Over the course of two days in April, 10% of all proceeds were donated to PIC. They stopped by last week to present a check for $500 to Executive Director Deb Green.

Jim and Marcy established Cindy Days in 2016 in memory of their good friend and PIC's former Executive Director, Cindy Roberts, and we are so very grateful for their continued support and connection to PIC.

The gift from Metropolitan will support PIC's Cindy Fund, which was established by Cindy's family in her memory to help PIC support pre-k children on subsidy at PIC. To date the Cindy Fund has raised over $41,000!
