ArtStart needs PIC families

At last week's meeting, the ArtStart Committee (still seeking members) agreed upon the evening's theme. This year will be A Night at the Opera, with a wine tasting table (through a sponsorship of underwriting from Moore Bros.) and a full buffet dinner from our friends at Beijing. There will also be a selection of beers from Yards Brewing, as well as non-alcoholic options, starters and desserts. Come to our next meeting on August 19 from 5 to 6 pm in the Sweet Building. All are welcome and help is needed to plan our fall fundraiser.

 

What is ArtStart?
Each October families, alumni, and friends are invited into St. Andrew’s Chapel (next door to PIC) to view artwork created by every child at PIC, to enjoy dinner and drinks, and to bid on an amazing silent auction.

ArtStart 2019 will be on Thursday, October 24. This year's goal is to raise $45K. We need you to make that happen!

Past years’ themes have been “Vote YES for Kids!”, “Have a Ball”, and “Lights, Camera, Auction!”. Help us choose a theme this year!

Why do we ask you to participate in ArtStart?
ArtStart supports our tuition assistance program. Families created a fund in 1986, to give back to PIC families who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost of PIC.

Today's Tuition Assistance program:

  • awards grants to families whose income is less than 300% of the federal poverty level.
  • closes the funding gap that exists between government subsidy and the true cost of high quality care.
  • offsets the cost of tuition for children of PIC teachers and staff
