Staff Goodbye and Hello
As you may know our Family Life Coordinator Lynne Piersol will be resigning from her position as of the end of January. Lynne has been with PIC for over seven years and during that time she has been the first “face of PIC” for many families.
Lynne has had the responsibility of introducing our families to what PIC is all about and then working with teachers and families as children transition through the classrooms and age levels while here. She has always been a strong advocate for PIC families in her roles on the Parent Involvement and Diversity committees. It will be hard to say goodbye to Lynne as she will be deeply missed, and yet we are excited to hear about where her next adventures take her.
Grace Piana has been hired as our new Enrollment Coordinator and will begin the last week of January in order to have some mentoring time with Lynne. Grace comes to PIC from the Buerger Early Learning Center, a program of Federation Early Learning Services, where she was responsible for enrollment.
Grace holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently a graduate student at Drexel University. Grace has over six years of experience working in various early childhood education positions and during this time she has developed a passion for building relationships with families and other early childhood professionals.
Having grown up in the small island of Guam, she has grown to love the cold weather. During her spare time she enjoys taking photographs, trying out new restaurants, and exploring the beautiful city of Philadelphia. Please join me in warmly welcoming Grace to her new position at PIC.
