Spring Day of Play at PIC

PIC has embarked on a wonderful opportunity to have “A Day of Play” as a new spring fundraiser. We are planning a day-to-night event with a little something for everyone and every family.

Imagine a morning of activities on the playground, including a plant sale, a mid-day children’s concert an adult evening of local live music, food, and fun in St. Andrews chapel.

So mark your calendars for Saturday, May 20th!

Local band The Breagh Squats are generously donating their time and talents to put on a concert for PIC families, alumni and friends to support our Tuition Assistance Fund

What does this mean for the anual Plant Sale? This year we will have a smaller plant sale that will feature a great selection of annuals, herbs, hanging baskets, and pre-potted planters. There will be a pre-order period starting the week of April 15 and orders may be picked up on May 20 in the chapel. There will also be a selection of plants to buy that day. Our wonderful friends from Reed Tech are able to again assist us with unloading plants from our vendor, Molenaar Greenhouse, and put together pre-orders.

We need your help and new ideas to make this first-time event a success! We will be organizing family-friendly activities and other entertainment. Sponsors are needed and food vendors, too for the evening’s concert. please contact Karen Stachelek, Development Manager. Stop by or send an email to kstachelek@parentinfantcenter.org.

The success of annual fundraisers allows us to help families who may need support in meeting the high costs of quality child care. PIC’s Tuition Assistance fund was first established over 30 years ago by PIC parents who wanted to actively maintain the socio-economic diversity we have at PIC. All children deserve the rich early learning and school age-programming that we provide at PIC, and your participation in and generosity towards each event (and each other) helps to make that happen.
