Ready. Set. Kindergarten!
Last Sunday, PIC hosted a Kindergarten Play Date for families with children who are heading off to kindergarten in the fall.
During the afternoon, folks mixed and mingled over light refreshments, met PIC After School Center staff, and talked to families who have already experienced kindergarten.
PIC's Parent Involvement Committee organizes this annual event to foster relationships among PIC families and families in our community before their children embark on the next step in their education.
Each year, approximately 45 - 50 children complete PIC's early learning program fully prepared for kindergarten. Along with learning literacy and numeracy skills, PIC children develop skills for life-long success, such as caring about others, resolving conflicts, critical thinking, and loving nature.
