PIC Moms Hit Harrisburg

PIC Moms Laura Line and Keena Hicks were in Harrisburg recently to tell Keena's story of her unsuccessful attempt to sign up for insurance through the Affordable Care Act. 

 

Keena had worked with Laura, whose work focuses on community health, to complete the online application process in December. They were very surprised by the denial, which was due to a proposal in the Commonwealth called Healthy Pennsylvania, which has not yet been finalized.

 

Committee Chair, State Representative Gene DiGirolamo and the House Human Services Committee listened to a dozen people from around the State testify similar concerns.
