PIC is Eco-Healthy!
We are thrilled to announce that PIC has been designated as Eco-Healthy by Eco-Healthy Child Care. What does that mean?
PIC earned the designation “Eco-Healthy” by following guidelines that highlight simple steps child care centers can take to create safer environments for children. Eco-Healthy providers commit to reducing children's exposure to environmental health hazards.
These guidelines focus on items such as pesticide use and pest prevention, air quality, household chemical usage, art supplies, plastics, radon, and recyling.
Eco-Healthy Child Care® (EHCC) supports child care providers in creating child care settings that are as environmentally healthy as possible. The purpose of their designation is to allow parents to choose child care facilities that are committed to creating a safer, healthier environment for children to learn and grow.
PIC strives to help children learn to love and care for the Earth through sustainable and green practices in the classroom and center-wide through our Growing Up Green initiatives ongoing.
