New Children and Nature Study Group

We are thrilled to be participating in an exciting new project being launched by our friends at the Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (DVAEYC).

A Children and Nature Study Group will kick off next week and over 30 early childhood education professionals are expected to gather at PIC for its first meeting. The group will be facilitated by PIC Executive Director Debbie Green and hosted by DVAEYC Associate Director Peg Szczurek.

Study Group members will meet monthly to share ideas about helping children build sustained connections with nature, both in and outside the classroom. The group will visit centers, schools, and programs where nature is incorporated into the daily experiences of young children.

We look forward to the group returning to PIC for a meeting in the spring to see all the changes that will be made to the Magic Circle Outdoor Classroom.
