1. Valley Green Hike for Kids
Longtime PIC Lead Teachers Joann Schock and Christel Urmenyhazi will lead a hike of up to 8 children (over 3 years old) on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2015 in the Wissahickon. Hikers will admire foliage along the Wissahickon Creek, scramble over rocks, and look for signs of animals in one of the largest urban park systems in the world. Pack a backpack with water and lunch for your child. Depart from PIC blacktop at 9:00 am and return at 2:00 pm.
2. Brunch for 6
Moonbeams Teacher Shayla Felton-Dorsey has professional catering experience working for chefs such as Melba Wilson, owner of Melba's Restaurant, the premier American comfort food restaurant in NYC. Enjoy homemade quiches, brioche or other delights. Delivery available in University City.
3. A Day at the PMA
PIC Peanuts Lead Teacher Jacob Kerner will take up to 3 preschool-aged children for an afternoon of exploring and creating art at the PMA on a Saturday or Sunday. Excursion will last 3-5 hours and focus on creating works of art inspired by the museum’s collection. Mutually agreeable date and time to be arranged.
