On November 29, on #GivingTuesday, we officially launched our end-of-year fundraising campaign that will give more children a better today, so that they see a better tomorrow.

Your gift will give more children a chance to experience high quality learning at PIC.

Every day at PIC, our children engage in activities that ignite their imagination and foster critical development. They gain essential social and emotional skills through all types of play.

Talented teachers listen to children, and guide them through peaceful conflict resolution, so that children understand the differences and more importantly, the similarities among all people.

As we watch pre-k expansion efforts in the city and the country, PIC reaffirms its longstanding committment to make quality child care available to more families, regardless of income, to provide the highest quality of care, and to foster a community that represents diversity of all types.

All children deserve high quality

We have close to 75 children whose families qualify for Pre-K Counts, the state's subsidized child care program on our waiting list. Every single one deserves the quality early education that PIC provides, but we simply do not have enough space.

An opportunity to grow

With an early leadership gift and a recent grant from the Fund for Quality, we have embarked on a journey to increase access to the quality learning experiences at PIC, broaden socio-economic diversity among our families, and foster an equity among children today, so they can reach their full potential tomorrow.

Through this expansion, we will enroll 20 more children from economically-disadvantaged families. Not only will the children on subsidy benefit, but all children at PIC will have the chance to experience the differences among people, and even more importantly, the similarities among us all.

Welcoming more families from all income levels is exciting, but it is also ambitious. We know it will take a larger staff, facility improvements, and a strong investment in infrastructure.
