In the Classroom: After School Spotlight
The Afterschool Winter Gala
During December, the four After School classes joined together to put on the annual Winter Gala for friends and family. It was a great success, featuring a variety of performances that showed the breadth of talents active in PIC’s After School program.
From singing to piano playing to a recorded, re-mastered drum circle, the musical skills of the students were in full force. And that was only the beginning.
The audience enjoyed a video scripted, performed and filmed by the Super Hero Club and were also treated to a yoga demonstration by the Starlights and Dragontails.
The show wrapped up with an outstanding comedic act filled with strong female talent. Performance after performance, the afterschool students revealed themselves to be capable of putting on a truly stellar show.
Thanks to the supportive audience, the strong organization of After School staff, and most of all to the clear and inspiring talents of our children, we had a great time, and, not for the first time, knew that we had created something truly good.
