Cindy's Day 2021

Hooray for another Cindy's Day at Metropolitan! We received a note this weekend from Metropolitan Bakery and Cafe owners Jim and Marcy Lilly, "With beautiful weather and a nice crowd all day, we're happy to report that the Metropolitan 2021 contribution to The Cindy Fund will be $835."
 
This is the 6th year owners Jim and Marcy Lilly have held Cindy Days on their store's anniversary. We wish them congratulations on their 17th year in the West Philadelphia community, and thank them for their involvement and support at PIC.

We also want to thank the many friends, staff, and alumni families who were not able to get to Metropolitan last week, but participated by making an online donation, bringing the total for the day to over $1,200.

Since it started, the annual Cindy Days have raised over $5,000 for PIC. We are so grateful to our community for this support.
 
Former PIC Executive Director, Cindy Roberts believed in making quality child care available to every family, regardless of income. After her death in 2016, Cindy's family asked PIC to dedicate The Cindy Fund to support preschool-age children on subsidy at PIC.
