Children Made Music at PIC

Make Music Philly at PIC
On Tuesday June 21, close to 200 children and grown ups came out to PIC for a children's sing-along organized as part of Make Music Philly, a day dedicated to music with free concerts on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the city.

PIC teacher Joann Schock, our enthusiastic emcee, kicked things off by welcoming several neighboring child care programs who came to help celebrate the power of music in children's lives. She did a great job guiding the performance with her energy and encouragement of the children.

After being led in song by PIC teacher Kia Knight and Rowan Machalow, the Director of the Little Green School House, each group took a turn presenting a special song. The Little Learners showed off some dance moves and Taylor's Learning Academy impressed the crowd with the power of their voices!

We especially want to thank friends from Brightside Academy, Community Preschool & Nursery, Little Green School House, Little Learners, People's Emergency Center, St. Mary's, and Taylor's Learning Academy for making the trip over. Our voices were strong!
