Charlotte Retires!
After thirty years of caring for children, Charlotte Barnes has announced that she will retire from the Parent-Infant Center this spring. Miss Charlotte's devotion to PIC's children will be celebrated at a party on Thursday, May 12 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. The entire PIC community is invited to attend!
Charlotte joined the PIC family in the late fall of 1986. As the Center expanded its scope of care from infants and toddlers to pre-school and school-age children, Charlotte's role evolved. Charlotte took care of babies who are now raising children of their own, and mentored middle-schoolers who come back regularly to visit her on their spring breaks from college.
Over the years, Charlotte maintained a love for the job and her signature sense of humor. She has been a beloved teacher in the Early Learning and After School programs, dependable van driver, creative designer for the ever-popular sewing and beading clubs, cheerleader, and singer of original "Hawks-n-Eagles" chants. She is truly one-of-a-kind!
It is with a profound sense of gratitude that we thank Charlotte for her dedication to the PIC community for all these many years. We hope many of you will join us in honoring Charlotte and wishing her well as she embarks on a new path.
