Carol Lerner - former Board member
Carol started out first volunteering with various PPP opportunities. She did lots of laundry!
Then there were the work days on Saturday, helping with fixing the climber in the Small Gym, and painting KidPots. Carol remembers that PPP was a good way to connect with other parents and families in the neighborhood.
Carol found a way to use her professional experience by joining the Finance Committee.
While on the Finance Committee she realized it would be interesting to be on the board when she was no longer a parent, but that an alumni perspective would be useful.
She is glad to hear that teachers still send home parent notes! She still has some from her days as a Peanuts parent when Kharma Hicks was a teacher in that classroom!
Carol and her husband Jason enrolled their son Eli as a Starfish, and when daughter Sam started at PIC she was a BB. Eli is now a freshman at Science Leadership Academy and Sam is a 6th grader at The Philadelphia School.
