Preschool Assistant Teacher

We are seeking energetic, qualified candidates for a full time Assistant Teacher position in our Preschool Program.

The full time assistant teacher is responsible for contributing to an inviting, stimulating, and safe learning environment. The duties include supporting a curriculum that is based on a solid understanding of child development, PIC’s philosophy, and the state and national learning standards.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for family communication, as well as for building a collaborative relationship with your teaching team. The teacher is a vital part of the PIC community, and there are duties beyond the classroom, including professional development and community events.

This is a full time position, Monday- Friday, with 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. Preference given to candidates with: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood, or a related field and 2 years experience. Familiarity with emergent curriculum, the Reggio Emilia approach and Pre-K Counts a plus.
