Week of the Young Child
The Week of the Young Child™ is sponsored by NAEYC to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families. It is a time to recognize that children's opportunities are our responsibilities, and to recommit ourselves to ensuring that each and every child experiences the type of early environment—at home, at child care, at school, and in the community—that will promote their early learning.
Join in the week-long celebration at PIC!
- Monday: Silly Hat Day
- Tuesday: Nature and Art Outside in the Magic Circle
- Wednesday: Mix-Match Day
- Thursday: Sing-a-longs at 11:00 am
Infants/Toddlers will be on the Tot Lot at PIC
Preschoolers will be on Penn Campus with St. Mary’s Nursery - Friday: Bubbles on the Blacktop
Learn more about all of these activities from your child's teachers, plus families are invited to read to the children any day during the week. Contact your Lead Teacher to schedule a time. PPP hours available.
