This Monday, Executive Director Deb Green picked up her hammer and the walls in the Spruce Building literally came tumbling down.
Actually, it was Bluestone Construction that got to work reconfiguring the upper level of the Spruce Building to create two new preschool age classrooms.
We are grateful for all of the support we have received for this project, which began with an early leadership gift from an anonymous donor.We received a significant grant from the Fund for Quality. In addition financial support, this grant offered robust technical support from several consultants for project planning. Additional generosity came from the many individuals who have given to the Cindy Fund, which was established in 2016 to help more children from disadvantaged backgrounds experience early learning at PIC.
This means that there is a lot of demolition work to do as the job gets started.
