Fun at Day of Play

Over 325 children and their families came out on a beautiful Saturday to enjoy Day of Play! The morning kicked off with a concert by City Love, and also featured a big book give-away sponsored by Treehouse Books, an art station with Fleisher Art Memorial, and community tabling by CHOP, Read by 4th, and Lift Every Voice! The Lil Pop Shop food truck was there selling popsicles. The event sponsors were Jeff "City" Block as a Festivities Sponsor, and American Picture Framing. see pictures

Volunteers are Vital!
A special thank you to the volunteers for Day of Play. The Events Committee meets in the months leading up to the event to bring in community groups, advertise at parks, online parent groups, and other child care centers, to get entertainment, food, and sponsors, and to organize activities. This year's volunteer committee members are Bre Bonner, Reggie Butler, Brigette Indelicato, Rachel Kuck, Samaiya Minor, Lindsay Perrin, and Stephanie Yee Weicker.
