August Billing Changes
How they will impact you
This year, Philadelphia public schools will start and end earlier than in any prior years. This has caused us to make changes to some of our billing.
- The first day of school for ALL grades is August 27, 2018.
- The last day of school for ALL grades is June 4, 2019.
For children entering kindergarten this year
- The last day of PIC’s Early learning and Summer Camp programs is Wednesday, August 22.
BILLING: If your child is currently in the Early Learning Program, and will be enrolled in the After School Center this fall, you will see two separate charges reflected on your August invoice. One charge will be for Early Learning enrollment from August 1 - 25. The other will be for After School enrollment from August 27-31.
After School Center (ASC)
- The first day of PIC's After School Center is Monday, August 27.
BILLING: In prior years, ASC tuition was billed as 10 equal payments (September - June). Since the first day of ASC is in August, we will bill 9 equal payments for September through May, and the months of June and August will be prorated. The prorated billing is dependent upon the school start and end dates set by the Philadelphia School District.
PreK Counts Program
- The first day of the PreK Counts program is Monday, August 27.
BILLING PreK Counts WITH Summer enrollment: If your child is at PIC during the summer, AND ALSO in the Pre-K Counts Program in the fall, your August invoice will reflect full-day Early Learning (EL) enrollment from August 1-25. You should not receive a monthly invoice in September.
BILLING PreK Counts Extended Day WITH Summer enrollment: If your child is at PIC during the summer AND ALSO enrolled in the Pre-K Counts Extended Day Program in the fall, you will see two separate charges reflected on your August invoice. One charge will be for full-day EL enrollment from August 1-25. The other will be for Pre-K Counts Extended Day enrollment from August 27 - 31. Beginning in September, your monthly invoice will show a monthly charge for Pre-K Counts Extended Day enrollment only.
