Carlos Pereira Di Salvo

Carlos is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania, where has taught courses primarily in ethics, political philosophy, and the history of philosophy since 2017. He is a native Venezuelan of Portuguese and Italian ancestry, a background that underlies his commitment to multilingualism and cosmopolitanism in education.
Carlos and his wife, Emily live in West Philadelphia, with their two children, Matías and Ávila and their Boston Terrier, Oscar. Matías is a rising Rainbow and Ávila recently joined the Bumblebee classroom. Carlos and Emily are passionate about the outdoors-focused, hands-on experiences that PIC affords children.
