DHS Secretary visits PIC

Today, we were honored to welcome PA DHS Secretary Dr. Val Arkoosh, Deputy Secretary Shanté Brown, and Representative Rick Krajewski to PIC to highlight Pennsylvania's new Recruitment and Retention Program for early childhood educators. 

After a brief tour of the center where our guests saw our classrooms in action, the Secretary gave a delightful read-aloud to preschoolers in the Butterflies classroom.

The Secretary also made a "big check" presentation representing the retention bonuses that will be distributed to our staff as a result of this new program.

We are deeply grateful for the Commonwealth's investment in early childhood education and the teachers who make this work possible. Its impact goes beyond the classroom by supporting families, the workforce, and our communities.
