Laila Burns

Laila Burns has built her career supporting Human Resource Centers of Excellence, partnering with organizations to strengthen culture and engagement, talent management, employee and labor relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and change management. She specializes in aligning business goals and enterprise priorities with scalable, people‑centered strategies that improve organizational performance.

A proud West Philadelphia native, Laila grew up just blocks from the Parent Infant Center campus. She and her husband, Don, joined the PIC community in 2023 when their daughter, Naomi, joined the Butterflies classroom.

Laila’s passion for education and service has led her to volunteer on PIC committees and present on topics within the classroom. She loves playing on the nature playground with her little ones, reading during circle time, and exploring nature field trips with the Butterflies. 

Laila looks forward to continuing to support PIC’s mission and working alongside teachers, staff, and families to nurture joyful, high‑quality early education.
