Joanne Douglas

Joanne Douglas lives and works in Philadelphia as an environmental educator, artist and program strategist. A strong passion for connecting youth with the outdoors has been the underlying force behind her pursuits.

Her past work includes nurturing environmental justice projects at nearby Jubilee School, building rowboats with Philadelphia middle schoolers, while creating a high school on-water river intensive at Bartram’s Garden, and consulting various other organizations on ways to fold nature into their existing programming.

She was drawn to PIC by its strong values and is excited to get involved and support the school in its continued mission to play and learn through nature.
