School Age Teachers

Are you a charismatic, outgoing individual blessed with common sense and creativity? Do you love to play? Know the weirdest dinosaur names? Know how a bug differs from an insect? Willing to have a six-year-old school you?

Then you're the one we're looking for to engage and mentor children, and encourage them to flourish in an out-of-school-time setting. You must provide documented experience in teaching or assisting in after-school program, or summer camp, and display an understanding of how learning happens through play. As wonderful as you are, you will, of course, have excellent references! Formal training in child-care and early-learning education is a plus. Interest and talent in music, or music technology, or dance, step, or movement, drama, art, reading/literacy highly desirable. Being a nature-lover, or gardener, an outdoor sportsperson, and/or having experience in elementary-school science and technology, makes you a dream candidate. Clearances required.

Please email your cover letter and resume to Director of School Age Programs, Anjali Gallup-Diaz, at agallupdiaz@parentinfantcenter.org. No phone calls or drop-ins please. Resumes will NOT be accepted without a personalized cover letter addressed to PIC.
