Talking about Bodies & Sexuality

As part of our Coffee and Conversation Series, PIC families are invited to come to a meeting on Wednesday, February 20 about "Talking with Children about Bodies & Sexuality".

It is never too early to start talking to kids about their bodies! In this workshop, led by Roadrunners teacher Isy Abraham-Raveson explore our own discomfort about this charged topic, learn to talk openly about body parts, and how to teach children to pay attention to cues from people around them, and more. We'll take a closer look at teachable moments, as opposed to preparing to have "the talk."

Perfect for parents of children of all ages.

Isy specializes in consent, body image, feminism and gender, and sexuality as it relates to young children. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in sexuality education at Widener University. She also facilitates similar trainings at a variety of locations, including the Trans Health Conference and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

All sessions of this series are from 8:30 - 9:30 am and are held in the A-Z Room, Ground level of the Sweet Building.
