Judy Borie Helped Build PIC.

What began as an unpaid consulting gig to help her best friend, Marni Sweet, gradually became a second career for Judy Borie.

Following Marnie's death in 2007, Judy became determined to realize Marnie's dream of providing more families with high quality child care in West Philadelphia. Expanding PIC became her mission—a real labor of love.

Judy was instrumental in launching and sustaining the million dollar Sweet Dreams Campaign that funded renovations to what is now fondly called the Sweet Building.

As PIC's Finance Director, Judy has been committed to the fiscal health of PIC. And in true Judy style, as she prepares to retire, she has put out a call (she claims it will be her last!) to friends to make a gift to PIC's Systems Replacement Plan.

This plan was put in place by the PIC Board of Directors to help us stay on top of capital needs and allow us to provide quality child care to many, many more families in the years to come.

As we prepare to wish Judy well in her "third career," make a special tribute to her work by making a gift to PIC.

To learn more about making gifts to PIC or our Systems Replacement Fund, email Development Manager Karen Stachelek.

"No gift can adequately express all you have given to PIC. You have been (and continue to be) a wonderful friend to PIC and generations of children in Philadelphia. Best wishes for your retirement."
