Welcome to the Art Studio!

The preschool classrooms will soon begin weekly explorations in our newly revamped Art Studio in the Kanga Room.

Drawing on the inspiration of Reggio Emilia and guided by our newly named Studio Educator Rebecca Schedle, children will have the opportunity to have experiences with a variety of art media from liquid watercolor to real clay.

Rebecca is a lifelong student of art. Her earliest experiences include weaving with her grandmother, making origami with her father, and building with clay. She took her passion for the arts and used it to earn a BFA in Painting from Indiana University. Since then, she has taken printmaking classes at Second State Press, digital art classes at Temple University, and worked as a studio assistant with local puppetry artists. She now spends her free time building cups and planters out the clay at University City Arts League.

Rebecca has her Bachelor of Fine Arts, and will partner with classroom teachers to support small groups in working in the Art Studio. Check out the board by the Small Gym for a glimpse of her projects!
